Sharp & Bentley offer independent Expert advice and evidence in respect to Disrepair Claims for both Claimants or Defendants and often act as a Single Joint Expert.

Whether we are appointed by the Claimant or the Defendant, the Expert report will be the same, as the facts remain constant, thereby confirming our impartiality

We are fully familiar with and understand the application of the relevant legislation with regards to housing disrepair, which includes, but is not limited to the Landlord & Tenant Act, the Defective Premise Act and Environmental Protection Act.

We also have a working knowledge of, and apply the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) with regards to premises that may be in disrepair and how that affects the wellbeing of the occupants.

As Chartered Building Surveyors and Disability Access Consultants our Expert has undergone significant training on the design of buildings, where defects occur and the remedies required.
